Can you believe it’s the second week of November already? We can officially say the holiday season is here. Egg Nog lattes are being poured, Christmas music is being played and turkeys are flying off the shelves! It’s also getting colder and I start thinking about all the things I am thankful for. Like a roof over our head, hot food and warm clothes. Did you know that one in three families struggle to provide enough diapers to keep a baby or toddler clean, dry and healthy? I feel very fortunate I am able to keep my kids in clean diapers but it does get expensive. If I had kids 10 years ago I might be one of the statistics. I was recently introduced to Huggies® program called No Baby Unhugged. Since 2011, Huggies has partnered with the National Diaper Bank Network to provide ongoing support for the organization, which includes donating 200 million diapers and wipes. This year Kroger has teamed up with Huggies to help families by donating up to 1 million diapers to the National Diaper Bank Network. Here’s how you can help! From November 8-December 5, visit a Kroger and BUY Huggies Diapers, 1 Big Pack or 2 Jumbo Packs, and get a FREE pack of wipes and Huggies will also donate a day’s worth of diapers to the National Diaper Bank Network! Sounds like a win, win to me.
Huggies No Baby Unhugged got me thinking of other ways we can spread kindness and help families in need this year. My daughter is almost 3 now so she is old enough to learn about giving back and ways to help others. There are many ways to serve others but these are all things she can help me with.
- Donate coats, pajamas and other warm clothes to the community center
- Buy a toy for a local toy drive
- Volunteer at the local diaper bank
- Donate canned food to the food bank
- Visit the elderly
- Commit random acts of kindness
- Deliver cookies to the employees at a fire station or police station
- Choose a few books from the bookshelf to donate to the library
How does your family spread kindness during the holiday season? I hope the 8 ways I shared inspired you to do one small thing for someone else. Don’t forget to pick up your Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers at Kroger to support the No Baby Unhugged program! It’s a simple way to help a family in need while also purchasing a great product.
