After a much needed break from blogging to recuperate (I plan on posting about my postpartum journey soon!) and enjoy all the newborn snuggles, I’m back today to share Parker’s bedroom. We moved into our new house over Labor Day weekend and I’ve slowly been working on decorating all the rooms. Parker’s room came together the fastest because I wanted her to feel settled. I love this room so much. The pink and floral accents and her bed are my favorite. I love how this room is girly and fun for a toddler but doesn’t look too little kiddish. If that makes sense!
The floral sheets and crochet trimmed comforter set are both Simply Shabby Chic from Target. They remind me of something I would have had as a little girl. So perfect for our little farm girl. She’s had this deer pillow since last year but it fits perfect with the new decor! I picked up the framed print above the bed on one of my many trips to Hobby Lobby in the last few months.
As soon as I saw these pink chairs I knew I had to have them for Parker’s room! I created a little coloring/activity area in one corner of her room. She loves sitting here to color and read books. I want to add a couple shelves above to hold her coloring books or maybe something to display her artwork. I haven’t found just the right piece yet though!
I knew I wanted a tall bookcase to put between the two windows as soon as I saw the space. This one from IKEA is the perfect size to hold all her books and some toys.
We still utilize the dresser as a changing area and will until she’s completely potty trained. I love having all her diapers, clothes, and accessories all in one place. The wall shelf was one of the first things I bought for her nursery and it’s still one of my favorites! It’s so functional and can be used in so many ways even after she’s out of diapers.
Since her room has two closets, we turned one into toy storage. I added her Lorena Canals washable rug and IKEA play kitchen to this side of the room and it’s a perfect play area. By 9 AM this area looks like tornado came through but I love that all her toys are in one area. At our old house we had toys stashed all over the house!
What do you think of Parker’s new toddler room? It truly is one of my favorite spaces. It’s light and bright and makes me happy, even when all the books are pulled off the shelves!
