I’m a planner, an organizer, a get it all done ahead of time kind of person, especially when I’m pregnant. I mentioned in my first preparing for baby post that I would be collecting items along the way to help with costs since we only have one income. I may only be 25 weeks pregnant but baby boy has a new bassinet! I loved the looks of the Chicco LullaGo Portable Bassinet as soon as I saw it. It’s a no frills, no non-sense baby item. It folds up in under a minute and fits into a handy carrying case. It weighs so much less than our previous bassinet and our old, hand me down Pack N Play. The color I wanted (birch) is only available at Target so I started stalking the website for a sale. It finally happened last week! I scored the LullaGo for $80 by using my RedCard on top of the sale they were having.
We plan on keeping baby boy in this bassinet for a few months next to our bed. We started transitioning our toddler to her big girl bed a couple of weeks ago. Our plan is to fully kick her out of the crib and into a twin size bed by Christmas. Then he’ll move into the crib. We have had issues with her rolling out, even with the rail up, so I put her Dock A Tot in her crib and she hasn’t fallen out since! She’s also sleeping great. I can’t recommend the Dock A Tot enough for bed transitioning!
When I first found out we were having a boy I thought it would be difficult to shop for him. I’m such a girl mom, I love florals and pink. But it turns out it’s just as easy to accessorize a boy! I already have his whole nursery planned out.
Michelle from BizyBelle made this sweet black and white arrow blanket for him and it’s perfect! I love the soft minky back and arrow print. It’s the perfect size for his bassinet and is a great weight for a fall baby. BizyBelle carrys all sorts of fun prints in blankets, loveys, burp clothes, carseat canopies and more.
