I really had to dig deep to remember back to the newborn days with my daughter. It was only 2.5 years ago but between the exhaustion, drugs (c-section recovery) and overall mom brain most of those early days were lost. I do remember only having snap-up sleepers for her to wear though. By the third or fourth day I was calling my mother-in-law to bring something else for her to wear! No more snaps for this mama! Every morning I would wake up and I had snapped all the buttons wrong. It was a disaster, plus snaps take way longer than it needs to for a simple diaper change. Live and learn, right?
This time around I’m sticking to zippers and these knotted gowns from KB Cute Designs. I can already imagine how much easier my life is going to be (insert praise hands)! No more fumbling over snaps. The bottom of the gown simply ties in a knot for easy diaper changes. Plus they keep little toes warm, cozy and all bundled up! KB Cute has these gowns in all sorts of colors and patterns. I have my eye on the camo, mustard stripe, and olive. We all know you can’t have just one because…BLOWOUTS! Another newborn memory I managed to suppress.
How cute are they paired with these slouch beanies? I have visions of little Timothy in them. They have such a hipster quality that I love and that my husband makes fun of me because I love. With him being due in October I think they will be perfect to keep his little head warm, and stylish too!
What’s the one thing you just can’t have enough of? Swaddle blankets! They are great for so much more than swaddling newborns. I use them for nursing covers, light weight blankets and carseat covers. Parker still uses some of her swaddles for blankets in the summer time. KB Cute’s swaddles are made from a super soft, lightweight material. I already know this black and white beauty will be going to the hospital with us.
What are some of your newborn essentials? KB Cute has all the necessities covered! On top of the items featured, they have boppy covers, changing pad covers, crib sheets, multi-use covers, blankets & quilts. And it’s all made in the USA, holla!
How do you feel about snap-up sleepers? Please tell me I’m not the only one that hates those things!
