Happy Wednesday! It’s time for the July addition of The Daily Dime. In case you missed last month’s introduction, The Daily Dime is a new monthly series where I share 10 photos from our day. I’ve teamed up with a group of lovely ladies to bring you this series and a linkup so make sure you check out everybody below! These 10 photos are from Monday, just an ordinary day at home!
7 AM – I wanted to share a look at my toddler’s room right when she woke up because it doesn’t look like this for long!
Now that Parker is transitioned to her toddler bed she gets out when she wakes up and comes to my bed for some snuggling. Then we have breakfast.
7:45 AM – We have been done with breakfast for approximately 5 minutes. I come in from cleaning up the kitchen to find this. Parker continues to
play destroy her room while I pick up the house.
8:30 AM – I helped Parker clean her room and we sort through her bag and put stuff away and start the laundry. She spent the weekend camping with her grandparent’s so there was a lot of dirty clothes.
9:30 AM – My mother-in-law swings by to pick Parker up. They run to town to get the mail and a few groceries so I enjoy my iced tea in peace!
10:30 AM – I had my MIL pick up some lime juice for my marinade so when Parker got home we prepped dinner for the night. She loves helping! I had her mix all the ingredients for my fajita marinade. The kitchen was a disaster because she poured sugar everywhere but she was so proud of herself I couldn’t be mad!
11 Am – After dinner is prepped, it’s happy mail time! Some fun new goodies arrived for baby boy’s nursery. I’m obsessed with these bison items from Little Unicorn. I picked them up from one of my favorite online shops Spearmint Love. I have SO many things bookmarked to purchase before he arrives. I’m in trouble!
12:30 PM – Nap time! Before this we had lunch and watched a few episodes of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. While Parker napped I replied to a bunch of emails and spent some time on blogging work.
3 PM – After her nap we head outside to play for a couple of hours. She’s been loving her balance bike lately. She rides it everyday and is really getting good! She’ll even coast down the lawn now.
When Luke gets home from work we spend some time in the garden, picking and eating. Our tomatoes are just starting to ripen and we have so many peas! Parker’s favorite are the strawberries though. They can’t ripen fast enough for her!
7 PM – Finally heading home. We decided to BBQ our fajitas at my in-laws (and neighbors!) since they were having tacos. We made it into a big taco bar! It was really yummy. I wish I had gotten pictures of my fajitas when they were done because they were beautiful! HA.
This photo shows Parker with two of her latest obsessions – this pink tutu skirt and Minnie Mouse backpack. She wants to take it everywhere! She goes through phases of having favorites. Everything must be pink though! Are your kids like this?
There’s a peek into our everyday lives! It just so happened that I didn’t have a lot of work to do on Monday and we kind of had a lazy day. I prefer days like this but they don’t happen very often. Last month I shared a day we were out and about so next month (August 16th) I’ll share a day where I have a lot of work to do. A day in the life of a stay at home mommy blogger! It will be fabulous! Not really. It involves me giving Parker a lot of snacks and saying just one more minute. Whoop whoop.
