Kimonos are currently my best friend. Every pregnant gal should have at least one! This is actually only the first of 3 posts featuring a kimono for spring. They are light and airy and provide just the right amount of coverage. I swear I run 10 degrees hotter when pregnant. It’s still spring in the PNW though and Mother Nature doesn’t know what to do with the weather. One minute it’s sunny and the next torrential rains!I took this exact outfit to Vegas over the weekend and it was perfect for an 80 degree day as well. I promised pictures of my Vegas outfits but we never got around to taking any! The first couple of days were too windy and then we were busy relaxing by the pool. It was exactly what I needed – rest and relaxation. I sure did miss my family though. The most I’ve ever spent away from Parker was one night. Five may have been one too many!
After walking around Vegas for a few days I’m feeling very pregnant. I feel sorry for my mom. We took a lot of potty breaks! It was so much fun though. We ate good food, we saw Michael Jackson ONE (the Cirque Du Soleil show), we visited Old Town and the Neon Museum. We fit a lot into our long weekend!
On to the outfit – I paired this paisley PinkBlush Maternity kimono with a basic black tank, my favorite jeans (aka the only jeans that fit me), and strappy black sandals (last seen here). I’m loving this comfortable, relaxed look. Have I mentioned I’m all about comfort this pregnancy? This kimono is almost like wearing pajamas! PinkBlush has so many beautiful kimonos right now. Plus, they are perfect for postpartum wear as well!
I’m also loving the newest addition to my diaper bag collection – the Mina Kay Downtown Satchel. It’s the prettiest, most non-diaper bag looking bag I own! It easily transforms from messenger style to backpack and includes a handy baby insert. If I’m going somewhere without my toddler I just pull the insert out that houses all of her things. Isn’t it a gorgeous camel color? I feel very fancy whenever I carry it!
My photographer always talks me into taking artsy photos with the bump and I’m glad she does! It gets my husband out of taking weekly photos for one but I always end up loving them. Happy 16 weeks to me! Just 3 weeks until we find out if it’s a boy or girl.
Have a great week, I have a surprise coming soon! Stay tuned.
