This baby is already getting the short end of the stick. My last pregnancy I shared weekly updates starting at 12 weeks. That task feels really daunting this time around so I’m just going to share every now and then. Today I hit 14 weeks and am welcoming the second trimester with open arms. The morning sickness and all day nausea are slowing down. I can walk through the grocery store without gagging down every aisle! I’m no longer exhausted all day and Parker and I have been making trips out of the house to play at the park or walk around the mall. I am still in bed most nights around 7:30. What can I say, growing a tiny human is hard work!
I know I should be wearing a tighter shirt so you can see the bump but take it from me, it’s there! I’m pretty close to my delivery weight with Parker already. After I delivered her the weight melted off and stayed off until I stopped breastfeeding. Then bam, within a few months it was back and then I found out I was pregnant again. Hormones! I’m hoping now that I’m out of the first trimester I can start eating better. I was a carb-oholic because they were the only things that settled my stomach.
Currently craving – chicken fajitas, cobb salads, eggs (in all forms) and veggie sandwiches from the bakery in our little town.
The only pregnancy symptoms I have to complain about this week are heartburn, headaches and cramps. I’ve had period-like cramps this entire pregnancy actually. My doctor says it’s normal so I’m not worried about it but it is annoying.
I’m looking forward to taking this bump to Vegas next week for 4 days of relaxing by the pool with my mom. Then later in May we find out the gender! While I do feel like I’ve been pregnant forever already, it’s flying by at the same time. I’m trying to savor every moment of it because I know this will be my last pregnancy.
Here’s to a healthy second trimester! Have a great week!
